This year, the show takes on a fresh identity with the inclusion of "Non-Apparel" in its title, promising a vibrant showcase of cutting-edge innovations from around the world. Organised by the Japan Sewing Machinery Manufacturers Association (JASMA), the 13th edition of the Japan International Apparel & Non-Apparel Manufacturing Technology Trade Show, JIAM 2024 OSAKA, will take place from 27 – 30 November 2024 at INTEX Osaka, Halls 2, 3, 4, & 5A. The expansion into non-apparel sectors has attracted a significant increase in exhibitors from the aerospace, automation, and aviation industries, reflecting the growing demand for advanced textile solutions in these high-tech fields.

Visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore a dynamic range of sewing and cutting machinery, alongside the latest textile products, technologies, and services that are not only shaping the future of the industry but also driving innovation in critical sectors such as transportation and aerospace. In addition, JIAM 2024 OSAKA will serve as a gateway to experience the forefront of technological evolution for automation and efficiency, from IoT and AI-driven systems to robotic technologies and state- of-the-art CAD/CAM systems. For industry players seeking to stay ahead of industry trends, forge new business connections, or find inspiration in the latest innovations about manufacturing automation and efficiency, JIAM 2024 OSAKA offers a platform to drive business growth.

As of September, 149 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions, including China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and the UK, are slated to showcase their innovations at JIAM 2024 OSAKA. This year's exhibition will prominently feature pavilions by the China Sewing Machinery Association (CSMA), VDMA Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies, and the Taiwan Sewing Machinery Association (TSMA), offering attendees an immersive experience of the latest advancements from key industry players. Signalling the show's growing international appeal post-pandemic, the exhibition space allocated to international exhibitors has doubled compared to the 2022 edition. This expansion underscores the heightened global anticipation for JIAM 2024 OSAKA, and strengthens its status as a premier platform for industry innovation.

Despite the challenges posed by COVID-related travel restrictions, JIAM 2022 successfully attracted 10,452 visitors from 59 countries and regions, a testament to its enduring importance in the global textile and apparel industry. With global travel more normalised, the upcoming 2024 edition is expected to build on this success, drawing an even larger and more diverse audience.
