Matthew Hardwick, PhD, ResInnova Laboratories, will speak on the Efficacy Testing of Antimicrobial Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), on February 10, 2021. He will explore the technical definition of antimicrobial, current standard test methods, and how the testing field can evolve to meet future needs. Tova Williams, PhD, TCI America, will present the topic ‘Overview of Color and Colorants for Textiles’, on February 18, 2021. Participants can learn about the application of colour to various fibre types, dye/pigment-fibre interactions, colour production, and more.
Chris Pastore, PhD, Thomas Jefferson University, will speak on 4D Textiles, on March 4, 2021. This session will discuss 4D textile fundamentals and offer a live Q&A for participants, AATCC said.
Jasmine Cox, from textile technology centre at Gaston College, will discuss about the rebuilding the textile talent pipeline, on March 24, 2021. The session will examine the textile talent gap and talk about how to cultivate the next generation of leaders, from recruiting and developing young professionals to finding resources for talent sourcing and management, AATCC said in a media statement.
