The strategic plan is being formulated in consultation with industry stakeholders like government professionals, state-level organisations, research and development vendors, wool growers and representative groups, brands and retailers, manufacturers, fashion designers, etc.
As a part of the strategic plan, AWI releases documents that report the progress of the plan at regular intervals. It recently released a 112 pages draft version of the plan.
“It is a document that has evolved over many months and countless conversations with woolgrowers and wool industry bodies around the country. At events in woolsheds and at sheep shows through to corporate board rooms and more formal industry consultation events as part of a planning and consultation cycle,” Stuart McCullough, CEO of AWI commented.
“I encourage anyone interested in the future of wool to review the document and have their say,” he added.
The company is encouraging feedback on the draft document till June 17, 2016. (MCJ)
