The event will be held at two leading venues: Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi and the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida. The main event at Bharat Mandapam will run from February 14-17, showcasing the entire textile value chain. Meanwhile, exhibitions focusing on handicrafts, garment machinery, and ethnic apparel will take place from February 12-15 at the India Expo Centre and Mart.

At the Curtain Raiser event of Bharat Tex yesterday, Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh said that India’s textile industry is projected to grow to a whopping $350 billion by 2030, potentially creating 3.5 crore jobs. Singh expressed optimism about India gaining global recognition through its 'Bharat' brand and the promotion of green, sustainable textile products, the Ministry of Textiles said in a press release.

The curtain raiser was attended by key figures such as Minister of State for Textiles and External Affairs Pabitra Margherita, Textiles Secretary Rachna Shah, and other senior officials from the Ministry of Textiles.

Singh highlighted the impact of the government’s Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, designed to enhance the production capabilities of the apparel sector and boost branding. He stated that this initiative would help in integrating the textile value chain and attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into the country.

Emphasising India's demographic advantages, Singh noted that the nation's young and dynamic workforce could propel its growth ahead of competitors like China. He called for active participation from state governments to ensure the success of Bharat Tex 2025, adding that the event embodies the ‘5F’ vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi—Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign. This vision underscores the comprehensive approach towards making India a global textile hub.

Building on the success of its 2024 edition, Bharat Tex 2025 will focus on resilient global value chains and textile sustainability. The event is set to cover 200,000 square meters and will feature over 5,000 exhibitors, attracting 6,000 international buyers from more than 110 countries and drawing an expected 120,000 visitors. Around 100 international speakers will contribute to discussions on the future of the textile industry.

The exhibition will showcase a diverse range of products, including apparel, home furnishings, floor coverings, fibres, yarns, fabrics, carpets, silk, textile-based handicrafts, and technical textiles. A dedicated retail high street will highlight opportunities in India’s burgeoning fashion retail market. Additional exhibitions on handicrafts, apparel machinery, and ethnic wear will be hosted at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida.

The four-day textile extravaganza will feature a comprehensive range of activities, including a large-scale trade fair, textiles conference, seminars, CEO roundtables, and B2B and G2G meetings. Attendees can expect significant investment announcements, product launches, and collaborations that are set to transform the global textile landscape. The event will also include live demonstrations, cultural events, fashion presentations, designer and brand exhibitions, sustainability workshops, and expert talks.
