Cambodian minister of commerce Pan Sorasak has urged the parties involved in negotiating a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between his country and the United Arab Emirates (Cambodia-UAE CEPA) to expedite talks in the interest of consumers, investors and businesses. The second round of such negotiations was initiated recently.Sorasak emphasised that such an agreement will continue to strengthen the traditional friendship between the two countries and enhance the growing bilateral relations.
The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to achieving the proposed CEPA to enhance trade relations and bilateral cooperation by diversifying markets for the export of goods and services, as well as creating opportunities for investment and strengthening cooperation for priority sectors, the ministry was quoted as saying by Cambodian media reports.
