The Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) has assured the Punjab government to start procuring cotton in the state for the current fiscal at the soonest possible. CCI officials recently discussed the issue of sale of cotton below the minimum support price (MSP) and cotton procurement with state officials, a state government spokesperson said.
