According to Fibre2Fashion's market insight tool TexPro, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, and India were also among the top five buyers of Chinese fabric. Exports to Bangladesh amounted to $3.711 billion, representing 9.39 per cent of the total. Shipments to Cambodia were valued at $2.535 billion (6.42 per cent), Indonesia at $1.766 billion (4.47 per cent), and India at $1.274 billion (3.23 per cent). Other top markets included Myanmar, Nigeria, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, and Mexico.
In 2023, China exported fabric worth $65.816 billion, 8.35 per cent lower than the $71.819 billion exported in 2022.
In 2023, China’s fabric exports to Vietnam totalled $10.317 billion, with Vietnam accounting for 15.68 per cent of China’s total fabric exports of $65.816 billion, according to TexPro.
Fabric exports to Bangladesh were valued at $5.611 billion (8.53 per cent), Cambodia at $3.300 billion (5.02 per cent), Indonesia at $2.954 billion (4.49 per cent), and Nigeria at $2.308 billion (3.51 per cent) during the same year.
