Textile and apparel exports from China decreased by nearly 3.7 per cent year-on-year to $75.76 billion during the first four months of 2019, according to the data released by General Administration of Customs. While textile exports saw marginal rise of 0.81 per cent and rose to $36.67 billion, clothing and accessories exports were down 7.56 per cent to $39.09 billion.

Category-wise, textile exports fetched $9.78 billion for China during the month, registering a decrease of 6.90 per cent year-on-year. Apparel exports declined by 11.85 per cent to $9.67 billion, the data showed.
