The European Union (EU) and India last week concluded in Brussels the fourth round of talks for a comprehensive free trade agreement. The next round of the talks is scheduled for 12-16 June in New Delhi.
Negotiations for the proposed trade pact started with the EU in 2007, but were stalled in 2013 as both sides failed to reach a consensus on key issues.
India's merchandise exports to EU were worth $65 billion in fiscal 2021-22, while imports were worth $51.4 billion.
The next round of the talks is scheduled for 12-16 June in New Delhi.
