The annual inflation in euro area is expected to be 10.0 per cent in September 2022, up from 9.1 per cent in August, as per a flash estimate from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. Among the main factors of inflation, energy is expected to have the highest annual rate in September (40.8 per cent, compared with 38.6 per cent in August).Inflation rate in the euro area was also high for food, alcohol & tobacco (11.8 per cent, compared with 10.6 per cent in August), non-energy industrial goods (5.6 per cent, compared with 5.1 per cent in August) and services (4.3 per cent, compared with 3.8 per cent in August).
