FBCCI urges companies in Wales to invest in Bangladesh textile sector

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has urged companies in the Wales to invest in its country’s textile sector. FBCCI representatives recently met delegates of the All-Chambers Wales Trade, Investment and Education Mission in Dhaka. FBCCI assured support to entrepreneurs from Wales interested in investing in Bangladesh.

FBCCI president Mohammad Jashim Uddin informed the delegation about investment possibilities in renewable energy, ceramics, furniture, information and communication technology and human resource development as well.

There is scope for direct or joint investment of businessmen in Bangladesh, he was quoted as saying by the country's media reports.

Paul Slevin, executive chairman of the Chamber Wales, urged both governments to include the private sector in all work related to development.
