At the conclave, experts, academics and industry stakeholders will share their views on various sustainability related topics like the contribution of fashion industry in SDGs, re-wearable fashion, organisations leading the change, developments in transparency and traceability, credible certification standards, government policies, research in sustainable textile materials, process innovation, textile recycling and circularity, etc.
The free to attend virtual summit is scheduled to go on till 5.00 p.m. Indian time today, and will continue on Tuesday from 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Speakers at the summit include Dr. Sheng Lu, Associate Professor in the Department of Fashion and Apparel Studies at the University of Delaware; Frederic Van Houte, Director General, CIRFS; Jaki Love, Director of Innovation and Sustainability, UKFT; Marc Sidler, Group CMO, Testex; Carlo Centonze, CEO & Co-Founder, HeiQ; Jean Hegedus, Director of Sustainability, The LYCRA Company; and Dr. Naresh Tyagi, Chief Sustainability Officer, Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Limited.
The two-day conclave is expected to generate new ideas and fresh insights to help the global textile-apparel-fashion industry to further accelerate its move towards going green and circularity.
