Man-made fibre manufacturer Filatex India Ltd is raising its polymerisation capacity by 150 tonnes per day (tpd) and adding machines to produce 170 tpd of partially oriented yarns (POY) and 200 tpd of drawn textured yarn (DTY) at an estimated cost of ₹275 crore, according to chairman-cum-managing director Madhu S Bhageria. The project will be completed by December end.
The company is also setting up a captive thermal power generation plant of 25 MW at an estimated expenditure of ₹100 core and a solar photovoltaic power generation unit of 2.5 MW capacity at a cost of ₹12 crore, Bhageria told Fibre2Fashion in an interview.
