India ITME Society Awards 2022 to be held in Dec 2022 in Noida

Owing to the wide network of the India ITME Society, the names of the awardees will be released not just to the delegates present at the award function but also be circulated among the press and submitted to the ministry associated with the India ITME Society, according to a press release by India ITME Society.

This second edition of the awards aims to recognise talent and felicitate winners in the following new categories: Category 1 - Award for overall best performer in engineering industry presented in 8 specific categories (ginning, spinning, weaving and weaving preparatory, processing and finishing,  garmenting, printing, accessories for textiles, technical textiles); Category 2 - Award for best innovative technology for pollution control; Category 3 - Women leadership award in textile an textile engineering; Category 4 - Award for research excellence; and Category 5 – Textile maestro.

The ITME society has brought on board reputed leaders from different sectors of the textile industry to be part of the jury for awards selection, added the release. The members of the jury panel are:

Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, chairman and managing director at Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd and a former chairman of India ITME Society, is a prosperous and an ambitious businessman.

Uday Gill, group chief strategy officer for fibres, Indorama Ventures Ltd, is a top textile fibre expert having a knack for identifying hidden gems from across the globe and successfully leading acquisitions.

Updeep Singh, president and CEO for Sutlej Textiles and Industries Ltd, is a genius in textiles and a resourceful personality in textile technology.

Manohar Samuel, advisor R&D for Reliance Industries Limited, is an expert in core dynamics of fibres and a passionate researcher, brand developer, and value chain builder.

Gurudas V Aras, India consultant to the ITA group, Germany, and APS GmbH, is a strategic business advisor and mentor for many textile and engineering businesses.

R Anand, partner, Eastern Engineering Company, is a mentor for MSMEs in engineering and a recognisable market specialist for the engineering sector.

Sanjiv Lathia, former chairman of India ITME Society, is a well-known entrepreneur from the rubber industry, having expertise in technical operations of engineering and technologies.

S Hari Shankar, chairman of India ITME Society, is a successful entrepreneur and a renowned personality in the textile accessories world.

Ketan Sanghvi, honorary treasurer of India ITME Society, is a wizard in weaving technologies.

Dr. Manisha Mathur, joint director at SASMIRA, has in-depth knowledge of textiles and textile processing and is an important woman leader.

The nominations for the awards are open now and the last date for submission is September 15, 2022.
