Russia has been ranked fourth on the list with a projected GDP growth rate of 3.6 per cent, followed by Brazil (3 per cent) in the fifth.
The rankings were released at the ongoing G20 summit in Brazil.
The African region follows next, with 3 per cent, while the United States ranks seventh, with a projected GDP growth at 2.8 per cent.
Canada is expected to grow at 1.3 per cent, followed by Australia at 1.2 per cent. France, the European Union and the United Kingdom have been clubbed in the 1.1-per cent slow growth category, while Italy is expected to grow at 0.7 per cent, followed by Japan at 0.3 per cent.
Germany is projected as the worst performer among advanced nations, with a projected growth rate of zero.
The focus of the two-day G20 summit is the fight against hunger, poverty and inequality; sustainable development and global governance reforms.
