The trade deficit in October 2021 was $19.9 billion, while it was $98.71 billion during the April-October period this year, according to an official release.
Value of non-petroleum exports in October 2021 was 30.27 $billion, registering a positive growth of 29.63 per cent over such exports worth $23.35 billion in October 2020 and a positive growth of 32.84 per cent over such exports worth $22.79 billion in October 2019.
Value of non-petroleum imports were worth $40.94 billion in October 2021, with a positive growth of 45.82 per cent over such imports worth $28.07 billion in October 2020 and a positive growth of 44.87 per cent over such imports worth $28.26 billion in October 2019.
The cumulative value of non-petroleum exports in April-October 2021 was $199.41 billion, an increase of 45.59 per cent over $136.96 billion in April-October 2020 and an increase of 24.09 per cent over $160.7 billion in April-October 2019.
The cumulative value of non-petroleum imports in April-October 2021 was $243.89 billion, showing an increase of 65.41 per cent compared to such imports of $147.44 billion in April-October 2020 and an increase of 15.51 per cent compared to such imports of $211.14 billion during the same period in 2019.
