Iran’s petrochemical production increased by 8 per cent in the first half of the current Iranian year in comparison to the same period in the previous, according to Jalal Mir-Hashemi, director for production control at the National Petrochemical Company (NPC). The six-month petrochemical output stood at 32.8 million tonnes and plants operated at a good capacity.Considering the country’s needs for the production of healthcare products like face masks, the petrochemical industry is remaining to raise output to supply feed in such areas, Mir-Hashemi stated.
With the measures taken and the sustainable supply of feed this year, the production of numerous products in petrochemical complexes rose. While re-encountering the requirements of domestic markets, the export programmess have also been recognised, the official was quoted as saying by Iranian media reports.
