With Centrocot’s specialised testing, verification, certification, and training services and with GoBlu’s innovative digital platform The BHive, stakeholders in Italy have now access to a wide range of resources for the adoption and management of more sustainable chemical products, GoBlu and Centrocot said in a joint press release.
Among many synergies between GoBlu and Centrocot, one is the partnership of both companies with the industry-leading institution OEKO-TEX. Centrocot is one of the 17 institutes in the world authorised to issue the OEKO-TEX Standard 100, STeP, Made In Green, Eco Passport, Leather Standard, Organic Cotton, and Responsible Business certifications and labels. On the other hand, GoBlu’s strong partnership with OEKO-TEX has already led to several achievements in the last couple of years, including the integration of The BHive into OEKO-TEX STeP Certification.
Lars Doemer, managing director of GoBlu, said, “We are excited to start a partnership with Centrocot, whose values are close to our own core mission. We envision The BHive to become one of the leading chemical management solutions for Italian stakeholders in the textile and fashion industry.
“With Centrocot’s great expertise, testing, and certification services, we are now able to provide to our Italian customers local support and access to a wide range of resources to achieve full transparency in their supply chain.”
“The partnership with GoBlu is an important step for the benefit of our customers, who will be able to see and manage their Centrocot verified chemical products in The BHive platform. We are happy to share the same vision and goals with GoBlu. Together, we will provide a comprehensive service portfolio in which our hands-on chemical expertise will be matched with GoBlu’s background in IT innovation and chemical management. We look forward to building several success stories for our existing and future customers,” said Grazia Cerini, CEO and general manager of Centrocot.
With this partnership, GoBlu and Centrocot combine strong chemical expertise, digital innovation, and a wide range of resources to support stakeholders in the Italian textile and fashion industry. Ultimately, the new partnership sends an important message to local brands, retailers, and factories—chemical transparency and sustainability is possible, and GoBlu and Centrocot are ready to facilitate its adoption and implementation.
