Japan sees 8.1% drop in clothing imports, surge in textile exports

In August, Japan's clothing and accessories imports declined by *.* per cent, totalling ***,*** million yen.
Imports of textile yarn and fabric also fell by *.* per cent.
However, exports of textile yarn and fabric rose by *.* per cent, while textile machinery exports dropped by *.* per cent.
During H* FY**, clothing imports increased by *.* per cent, but yarn and fabric imports fell *.* per cent.
