Amir will join Kornit as CTO effective July 1, 2016. Ben-Zur will continue to serve on Kornit's board of directors. He will also remain with the company in a consulting capacity for at least the next six months to oversee a transition of responsibilities.
Prior to this, Amir was the technology director at KLA Tencor and has also served as director of research and development, leading the development and transfer to production of 45mm NOR technology at Numonyx.
Ben-Zur said, “I look forward to contributing to the company's success through a thoughtful transition and as a director on the company's board. Our tireless work over the past several years has helped to build a world class research and development team capable of expanding Kornit's product and technology offerings in order to take advantage of the continued growth of our sector.”
“We remain in the early stages of a textile printing shift to digital technology, and Nuriel's background in bringing world class, disruptive technology to market will be a strong catalyst to our future progress. With the support of a strong research and development team we have built over the past few years, we believe we are well positioned to develop broader leadership across digital printing categories, “said Gabi Seligsohn, CEO, Kornit Digital.
