The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) has launched its latest initiative in providing service to its members – the CMAI FAB Show – scheduled to be held from April 11-13 at the newly opened Jio World Centre in Mumbai. More than 5,000 garment manufacturers, exporters, retailers and traders are expected to visit the show.

The FAB Show – Fabrics, Accessories and Beyond – will also host over 250 exhibitors that include manufacturers and suppliers of fabrics and accessories, machinery manufacturers, washing units, packaging units, embroiderers, printers, real estate and apparel park developers, and software developers.

The objective behind this ambitious show is to provide the complete supply chain to the garment industry under one roof, where a manufacturer could find his entire sourcing requirements being met at one place. Spread over 10,000 square meters, the show is likely to be one of the biggest exhibitions in the supply chain space, the organiser said in a media release.

“Apart from showcasing the best of Mumbai and participants from all over India, for the first time in the garment industry, and in a unique show of collaboration and co-operative effort, the FAB Show is supported by two of the biggest associations in the fabric supply chain – the FABEXA from Ahmedabad, and SGCCI from Surat. FABEXA, an arm of Ahmedabad’s famous Maskati Cloth Market Mahajan, has participated with nearly 50 of its members, bringing to the FAB Show the full might of Ahmedabad’s strength in cotton and natural based fabrics. On the other hand, SGCCI – the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, one of Gujarat’s most dynamic and active Industry Associations, is backing this show with over 45 of its members from Surat participating. Surat, often described as India’s answer to China in fabric development especially in the MMF based fabric category, will showcase its latest developments and innovations in MMF fabrics,” the release added.

A unique addition to the FAB Show is the Think Out of the Box section, with 4 exciting and scintillating seminars on a variety of subjects covering consumer trends, technological developments, and global fashion landscape. Speakers include some of the biggest names in the garment industry, along with speakers from Bangladesh, Turkey and Netherlands.
