Pantone, the company that provides a universal language of colour that enables colour-critical decisions through every stage of the workflow for brands and manufacturers, is organising a webinar for designers and merchandisers. The webinar will be presented by David Shah, the publisher of Metropolitan Publishing BV which includes Pantone View Colour Planner.

The webinar 'Design Through the Looking Glass' will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 12.30 p.m. IST (Indian time). Shah will present a new set of perspectives on design influences from slowbilisation to hopepunk, from biophilia to the new datascapes. Fashion in a post COVID-19 world!

"We inhabit an upside down world. Thanks to the global effects of COVID-19, nothing is what it was and nothing is as it seems. Just like Alice Through the Looking Glass, we live in a frameless society. Is it “reset” or is it “back to where we were”. Of course, change was already on the horizon for the fashion industry, but the tempo has been upped," according to Pantone.

Casualisation, once seen as a dress-down Friday option, now permeates every aspect of life – morally, socially and politically. How do we live in a future without rules, where there is greater opportunity and diversity but far less certainty, would be among the points for discussion in the webinar.
