PTA price came down to $995 per ton (CFR) in southeast Asia market. It was noted at $1000 per ton on May 30 and 31, which increased to $1005 per ton June 1, but again dropped to $995 per ton on June 2. The price remained steady on June 3, according to Fibre2Fashion’s market insight tool TexPro.
The price of PTA was $965 per ton (FOB) in Korea, $955 per ton (CFR) in China, RMB 6,775 per ton in China, €676 per ton (FD) in north-west Europe, and $0.46 per lb (FOB) in US Gulf.
MEG price rose to $645 (CFR) per ton in southeast Asia on June 1, compared to $620 per ton on June 30 and $625 per ton on May 31. The price remained unchanged on June 2 and 3. MEG was traded at $630 (CNF) in China, RMB 4,920 per ton in China, €812 per ton (CIF) in NW Europe and $0.29 per lb (FOB) in US Gulf.
In southeast Asia, the price of polyester stable fibre (PSF) improved to $1,255 (FOB) on May 31 from $1,245 per ton the previous day. However, the price remained steady till June 3.
In China, the price of polyester filament yarn (POY 150D/48F) also increased to RMB 9,925 per ton June 3, from RMB 9,875 per ton on May 30. The price of polyester filament yarn (DTY 150D/48F) surged from RMB 9,350 per ton to RMB 9,450 per ton on June 3. However, the price of polyester filament yarn (FDY 75D/36F) declined from RMB 8,550 per ton to RMB 8,700 per ton on June 3.
In southeast Asia, the price of ethylene stayed steady at $1155 (CFR) per ton, while that of bottle grade polyester terephthalate was at $1,360 (FOB) per ton, and paraxylene at $1280 (CFR) per ton.
In Indian market, the price of PTA declined by ₹200 to ₹97,000 per ton, while MEG gained ₹1500 to ₹61,900 per ton on June 4. The price of PSF increased further from ₹125,000 to ₹126,000 per ton. MELT was noted at ₹100,640 per ton, as per TexPro.
