The news of Ghosh's exit has been confirmed by L'Oreal India spokesperson, who thanked him for his contribution in the company and wished him well, according to a leading daily. Ghosh also confirmed that he will be leaving the cosmetic company to join the Aditya Birla Group.
Ghosh's new job will be drastically different from his previous profile as the global sales director for emerging markets such as Latin America, Africa, Eastern Europe and South Asia. At Grasim, his job profile includes handling the company's three manufacturing plants.
Ghosh will succeed the current CEO of Grasim's domestic textiles business, S. Krishnamoorthy, who will be retiring soon. The product portfolio of Grasim includes suit-length, yarns, a new linen business and The Linen Club retail chain. (KD)
