The delegates also elected two new members to the IIC Board of Management, Harald Tscherne (Chairman INTERSPORT Austria), and Pontus Petersson (CEO INTERSPORT Sweden) for a three-year term of office until September 2027. Further members of the IIC Board of Management are Rick White (Independent Board member) and Volfango Bondi (INTERSPORT Italy).
Corinne Gensollen, the re-elected Chairman of the IIC Board of Management stated: “I am honored to be re-elected as Chairman of IIC, and grateful for the continued trust and support of my colleagues. I want to build on the momentum we’ve successfully created over the past two years, in a more collective approach with the 25 national organizations. I am excited to continue the transformation of our Group, with the goal of ensuring sustainable growth for all countries while becoming even more efficient for our partners. The election of the two new Board members is an excellent piece of news, as they bring fresh perspectives and expertise that will help us further strengthen our strategic plan to better meet consumer expectations in each country. Together, we will maintain our commitment to growth, innovation, and ensuring that our company remains at the forefront of the global Sports industry. This will be achieved through ever renewed strong global partnerships with renowned sports brands, combined with a locally driven and community connected retail network, which will ensure that INTERSPORT consistently delivers the best of sport to everyone.”
IIC CEO Steve Evers stated: “I am very excited to continue working alongside Corinne Gensollen and the new Board of Management to drive forward the implementation of the new IIC strategy and expand the INTERSPORT brand. The progress of our "Grow Together Faster" transformation strategy has been very promising, and we are on track for significant development. However, we believe that achieving sustainable growth is even more critical, as this comes cultivating strong and healthy partnerships with our National Organizations and industry partners.”
