Due to strict environment laws, the spinners are looking for solutions where the yarn dyeing step is eliminated and Radianza, which is available in a wide range of colours and shades has been a preferred option for sweater industry, TAF said in a press release. This year, the circular knit segment has witnessed the growth in demand for Radianza with end-use in innerwear and fleece. The colourful yarns – a blend of viscose and Radianza - have been developed by Dezhou Huayuan Group from Shangdong province in China. The resulting fabrics have soft hand feel, good thermal retention and vibrant colors – some of the traits desired in fleece and innerwear.
Radianza is one of the most environment friendly fibre as it eliminates the needs for yarn or fabric dyeing later in the process, added the release. Dyeing process is one of the most pollution is one of the most hazardous process among all the textile processes as it consumes large quantities of water, energy and discharges unused dye into the environment, thereby polluting land and water reserves.
"We are very proud to associate with Dezhou Huayuan Group to enter into the circular knit segment. Radianza has already made its name in flat knit segment due to its environment friendly attributes but with Dezhou Huayuan making yarns for circular knits segment, Radianza will reach even more number of buyers and consumers who are looking for sustainable products from the industry," said Satyaki Ghosh, CEO Thai Acrylic Fibre and Domestic Textiles, Aditya Birla Group.
"We got very good response from a number of customer who visited us in Yarn Expo. The fabrics made with Radianza™ provided a complete package – colours, handfeel, ability to blend with other fibres – in addition to the eco-friendly process of making the fibre. We are confident that like the flat knit segment, the demand for Radianza will grow in Circular Knits as well," Ashwini Chotani, chief marketing office, TAF, said. (RR)
