The stand will also introduce various environmentally-friendly materials, including recycled fibres, fluorocarbon-free durable water-repellent textiles and knitting products produced using an integrated production system. Teijin Frontier, which will mark its ninth appearance in the show, will aim to further raise its profile in the market and increase its presence as a textile creator and manufacturer.
Exhibits by the company will include recycled polyester fabric, Solotex, Deltapeak and silk-like polyester fabric, said Teijin Frontier in a press release.
The recycled polyester fabric is an environmentally-friendly material using high-quality recycled polyester fibres. The new material combines the look and texture of cotton; it has moisture absorption properties, is quick drying and offers UV protection, making it ideal for athleisure fashion.
Solotex is a partially bio-derived polytrimethylene terephthalate fibre which has a low environmental impact. Several versions of Solotex will be presented at PV including a high-density and shape-memory cotton-like fabric, a wool-like fabric utiliwing Japanese processing techniques and a fabric with optimum elasticity owing to its spring-like fibre structure.
The Deltapeak next-generation fabric closely integrates physical properties, functionality and quality. The exhibit will include a fabric from this range that is both form-fitting and has a natural appearance, a 4-dimensional bulky fabric and an eco-friendly version manufactured using a mix of regenerated fibres.
The new silk-like polyester fabric's specially fabricated surface is soft and has fine appearance of silk produced by wild silkworms and supports bright colours.
