The 5th International Digital Textile Congress to be held on September 27-28 in Belgium, will feature state-of-the-art developments, innovations, applications and future prospects concerning digital technologies for the textile and garment industries. Unitex, the organizer of the textile congress is a non-profit organisation for the textile industry with members in Belgium and neighbouring countries like the Netherlands, Germany, France and Italy.
Parys added that the congress will focus on core topic areas such as digital printing/finishing, fabrication principles and processes; developments in digital inks, new business strategies. ware, software and pre and post treatments of textiles; functional inks (electronic, OLED, hydrophobic); Lab2Fab; 3D printing; digital workflows - applications; designing, fashion; new business models, e-commerce.
Besides the bi-annual digital textile congress, Unitex also organises a bi-annual coating and laminating congress and a tri-annual carpet congress. (KD)
