Gross domestic product (GDP) of the UK is estimated to have grown by 0.2 per cent in July 2022 following a fall of 0.6 per cent in June 2022. Looking at the broader picture, GDP was flat in the three months to July compared with the previous three months, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).Monthly real GDP of the country is estimated to have grown by 0.2 per cent in July 2022 following a fall of 0.6 per cent in June 2022. Monthly GDP is now estimated to be 1.1 per cent above its pre-COVID-19 levels.
UK’s production fell by 0.3 per cent after a fall of 0.9 per cent in June 2022; this was mainly because of a fall of 3.4 per cent in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply. Manufacturing increased by 0.1 per cent in July 2022, with a mixed performance across the sub-sectors, as per the ONS.
