US' Pantone reveals Autumn/Winter 2022/2023 colour trends

According to Pantone Colour Institute experts, colours for Autumn/Winter 2022/2023 New York reflect hybridised lifestyles and contradictory yearnings as the company continues forward into this new landscape. Colours for Autumn/Winter 2022/2023 support the need for nurturing and tactility, as well as a calm and restorative space, fulfilling their yearning for comfort. Concurrently, the colours also illustrate Pantone’s need to break free of restraint and embrace the joy of being alive through super bright hues expressing energy boosting vitality and the celebration of life, Pantone said in a press release.

“Colours for Autumn/Winter 2022/2023 contrast our competing desires for calm and comfort with energy boosting vitality through a range of restful and restorative colours, in tandem with exuberant tones,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Colour Institute. “As we move forward into an environment filled with contradiction, hues for Autumn/Winter 2022/2023 enable consumers to move fluidly between a range of contrasting shades, allowing them to spontaneously express who they are and how they feel on any given day.”

The contrasting colours in the A/W collection are Pantone 18-1552 Lava Falls, Pantone 14-0851 Samoan Sun, Pantone 16-1358 Orange Tiger, Pantone 17-2624 Rose Violet, Pantone 18-6024 Amazon, Pantone 14-4618 Waterspout, Pantone 18-1148 Caramel Café, Pantone 19-4127 Midnight, Pantone 18-0625. The core classic colours are Pantone 12-0602 Arctic Wolf, Pantone 12-0813 Autumn Blonde, Pantone 19-4105 Polar Night, Pantone 17-0210 Loden Frost and Pantone 16-3917 Chiseled Stone.
