As part of the Innovative Technologies for Urban Infrastructure Development Mission to the Philippines and Indonesia, the delegation will meet senior government officials and business communities to strengthen US partnerships in smart cities, digital ecosystems and sustainable development.
Lago will engage with government and business leaders in the Luzon Economic Corridor in the Philippines to promote partnerships that support the nation’s rapid urbanisation and infrastructure goals, an official release said.
US secretary of commerce Gina Raimondo had led a presidential trade and investment mission to the Philippines in March this year.
In Indonesia, Lago will advance collaboration in digital transformation and smart city projects, including in Indonesia’s new capital, Nusantara, where American companies are poised to contribute expertise and innovation to support the capital’s sustainable development.
