According to Fibre2Fashion's market insight tool TexPro, the total value of 1,559.648 million metres of exported fabric was $3,107.169 million. The 18.389 million kg of fabric, which was also exported from China to Cambodia, was valued at $193.719 million in the same period.
The country had exported 1,493.435 million metres of fabric at the rate of $2.19 per unit in 2022, valued at $3,274.009 million. Additionally, 18.056 million kg of fabric was exported at the rate of $12.13 per unit, which was valued at $219.064 million in the same year.
This shows that the value of the fabric reduced last year in comparison to 2022. The unit price of both varieties of fabric also decreased last year. However, the total volume of exported fabric increased during the period. This indicates that exporters had to offer significant discounts to their buyers to secure orders last year. Ultimately, China managed to export more fabric in terms of volume in the previous year.
In 2021, China exported 1,529.767 million metres of fabric with an average price of $2.02 per unit and a total value of $3,084.623 million. It also exported 16.446 million kg of fabric at an average price of $11.02 per unit, with a total value of $181.299 million, as per TexPro.
