Beermann to head Lanxess procurement & logistics group

Lanxess, a specialty chemicals company, has announced that Marcel Beermann will succeed Frederique van Baarle as the new head procurement and logistics group function effective from June 1, 2020. Beermann is currently head of marketing and sales for high-performance plastics in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region at Lanxess.

Frederique van Baarle, will become the head of the high performance materials business unit on the same date.

After studying business administration, Beermann was a member of the corporate finance team at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (Dresdner Bank AG) where he advised international clients on corporate transactions. Beermann joined Lanxess in 2005. He started in the mergers & acquisitions group function, which he headed for over ten years from 2008. At the end of 2018, Beermann moved to the high performance materials business unit as head of EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) marketing & sales engineering plastics.
