Euratex has invited representatives of business, industry associations, and policy makers for the convention, which will be held in conjunction with the textile technology fair, ITMA.
The convention is intended to start a debate on tomorrow's challenges of the industry, Euratex said on its website.
Companies from Europe are focusing on making high investments in innovations and are introducing new technologies, in order to sustain their competitive edge. The Euratex Convention 2015 will discuss whether the textile and apparel sector has found enduring competitive advantages in its focus on quality, innovation, sustainability and high value-added products.
At the round table discussion, practical experiences and promising textile technologies and markets will be shared by textile and clothing manufacturers.
Euratex' member federations represent in the EU some 174,000 companies with a turnover of €162 billion, employing 1.66 million workers. (HO)
