China's total goods imports and exports saw a year-on-year increase of 6.2 per cent in yuan terms during the first seven months of this year, according to the General Administration of Customs. The country's exports grew by 6.7 per cent, while imports rose by 5.4 per cent over the January-July period.In US dollar terms, China's foreign trade in goods amounted to $3.5 trillion from January to July, with exports contributing $2.01 trillion and imports reaching $1.49 trillion.
During this period, the country's trade surplus expanded by 7.9 per cent year-on-year, reaching $518 billion, according to Chinese media reports.
