China's textile-apparel exports maintained growth momentum in the first five months of the year, according to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Such exports rose by 11.2 per cent year on year to $125.1 billion in the period, the data showed. Textile exports reached $62.9 billion, surging by 12.1 per cent from a year ago.Apparel exports were worth $62.2 billion, up by 10.2 per cent year on year, an official news agency reported.
During this period, the added value of textile firms with annual operating revenue of at least 20 million yuan (about $2.99 million) climbed by 1.5 per cent year on year, while the operating revenue of the aforementioned firms increased by 7.1 per cent from the same period a year ago.
