German exports to countries outside the European Union (EU) (third countries) experienced a decline of 2.6 per cent in June 2024 compared to the previous month of May, based on calendar and seasonally adjusted data, according to the provisional figures released by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). In June, Germany exported goods worth €58 billion euros to these third countries.
Additionally, when comparing year-on-year data, exports to third countries were down by 4.5 per cent compared to June 2023.
When considering original values for the exports of goods, the decline is even more pronounced, with an 8.9 per cent decrease compared to June 2023, as per Destatis.
