Turkiye's textile trade with Egypt declines sharply

Turkiye and Egypt, despite strong bilateral relations, have minimal textile trade.
Turkiye, a major apparel exporter, saw its exports to Egypt drop to 0.33 per cent in early 2024, valued at $20.001 million, down from 0.50 per cent in the previous year.
Since 2019, Egypt's share in Turkiye's apparel exports has steadily declined due to COVID-19 disruptions.
