Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina recently urged the European Union (EU) to offer Bangladesh benefits under the Generalised Scheme of Preferences Plus (GSP+) to support the country following its graduation from the least developed country (LDC) status in 2026.She said this at the signing ceremony of several agreements, including a €350-million finance contract between Dhaka and the European Investment Bank, at the EU headquarters in Brussels, a news agency reported.
European Commission Chairman Ursula von der Leyen was also present during the signing ceremony.
