Consumer goods and services in the Netherlands were 3.7 per cent more expensive in July 2024 compared to the same month last year, according to Statistics Netherlands (CBS). This marks an increase from the inflation rate of 3.2 per cent recorded in June. The July inflation rate aligns with the flash estimate released on July 31, 2024.According to the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP), consumer goods and services in the Netherlands saw a price increase of 3.5 per cent in July, slightly up from 3.4 per cent in June.

The HICP showed a 3.5 per cent increase, slightly higher than June's 3.4 per cent.
In the euro area, inflation rose to 2.6 per cent in July from 2.5 per cent in June.
In contrast, inflation in the euro area as a whole was recorded at 2.6 per cent in July, up from 2.5 per cent in the previous month, as per CBS.
