CGS, a global provider of business applications, enterprise learning and outsourcing services, is organising a webinar this month on '4 Steps to Digitally Transform Your Factory Floor'. Shop Floor Control (SFC) technology offered by the New York City-headquartered company is key to digital transformation of the fashion and sewn products factory floor.

The webinar, to be held in association with Fibre2Fashion, is scheduled for Wednesday, September 22, at 4.00 p.m. India time.

Attendees to the webinar will be able to learn how to bring digital technology to the factory floor in a way that is truly transformative. Speakers at the event will discuss the many benefits of SFC, measuring how SFC delivers ROI, and how to achieve the 'Factory of the Future' today.

A case study of how Star Garment eliminated 90 per cent of off-standard time while gaining double-digit productivity increases, and a preview of BlueCherry SFC Enterprise will also be shared with the participants.

Mihaela Coapsi, Vice President Manufacturing Systems, at CGS; Michael Penchansky, Vice President Global Business Development for Manufacturing Solutions, at CGS; and Joey Knight, Senior Business Development Director for Manufacturing Solutions at CGS will share their knowledge and insights during the webinar.

SFC is a set of software and tools used to track, schedule and report on the progress of work in a manufacturing plant. SFC systems, such as the recently updated BlueCherry SFC Enterprise edition, generally evaluate the portion of an order or operation that has been completed. That percentage of work in process is useful for resource planning, inventory evaluations and supervisor/operator productivity on a shop floor.
