To help textile workers and factories, IDH is facilitating industry players to shift operations in order to increase production of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as well as providing means for current and displaced workers to communicate through an app called Atun. Atun is a free mobile application, rapidly repurposed for the context of COVID-19 crisis from the worker engagement app (WOVO). This app can for example disseminate information to workers regarding COVID-19 health updates, upcoming job opportunities and factory re-openings, government and private welfare efforts, as well as access to re-skilling trainings and other services.
