The final of the 11th edition of the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers took place on 10th September 2024 at the Fondation Louis Vuitton. Eight artistic directors from LVMH Houses took part, including Jonathan Anderson, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Nicolas Ghesquière, Marc Jacobs, Nigo, Phoebe Philo, Silvia Venturini Fendi and Pharrell Williams, along with Delphine Arnault, Jean-Paul Claverie and Sidney Toledano. The actress, film director and producer Natalie Portman did us the honour of joining the 2024 Jury. Derek Blasberg and Wisdom Kaye hosted the 2024 award ceremony.
This year saw the launch of a new award: the Savoir-Faire Prize. It focuses on exceptional craftsmanship, technical expertise, innovation or sustainability in a young brand.
LVMH PRIZE
Among the eight finalists, the Jury awarded the LVMH Prize to Ellen Hodakova Larsson, 32, a Swedish designer, founder of the womenswear brand Hodakova. She will receive a 400,000€ endowment and will be mentored for one year by a team of LVMH experts.

THE KARL LAGERFELD PRIZE
The Karl Lagerfeld Prize was awarded to Duran Lantink, 36, a Dutch designer, founder of the womenswear, menswear and genderless brand Duran Lantink. It includes a 200,000€ endowment and a year’s mentorship by the LVMH Group.
The actor Robert Pattinson, dressed in Dior Homme, revealed the name of the winner of this prize.
THE SAVOIR-FAIRE PRIZE
The Savoir-Faire Prize was awarded to Standing Ground, a womenswear brand founded by Michael Stewart, 35, an Irish designer. He will receive 200,000€ and a one-year mentorship by a team of LVMH experts. He will also enjoy support from the LVMH Métiers d’Excellence through a collaboration with Maison Vermont, the embroidery specialist. It will provide the winner with 50,000€ of embellishments for his upcoming collection.
The prize was presented by the actress Ana de Armas, dressed in Louis Vuitton.

This year saw the launch of a new prize, the Savoir-Faire Prize, awarded to a brand whose commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability or innovation won over the Jury and reflects the values of our group.
The Jury decided to award this prize to Standing Ground, a brand whose majestic designs display great technical expertise.
The Karl Lagerfeld Prize went to Duran Lantink for his body-transforming offbeat garments.

Moreover, three young fashion school graduates were distinguished: Marine Gilles, a graduate of HEAD (Geneva), Lovro Lukic, a graduate of Central Saint Martins (London) and Mickaël Nana, a graduate of ENSAD (Paris). Each will receive 10,000€ and join the studios of three Houses of the LVMH Group for one year, respectively Louis Vuitton, Loewe and Dior Homme.
THE LVMH PRIZE FOR YOUNG FASHION DESIGNERS
Just like the LVMH Group, which has implemented a global environmental strategy, the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers wishes to support the winners to help them integrate environmental issues into their design and production processes. They will each enjoy a specific mentoring programme as well as an allowance of 20,000€ and 10,000€ respectively on the Nona Source platform, which aims to revalue deadstock materials from the Group’s Fashion and Leather Goods brands.
