The Ludhiana market saw bearish demand, but prices remained steady. Mills encountered disparity as they could not increase prices following a surge in natural fibre costs. A trader from the Ludhiana market informed Fibre2Fashion, "Spinning mills were confronting weak demand but were reluctant to lower prices. Depressed market rates are further pressurising the mills. Bearish demand from the weaving industry has been noted, owing to sluggish production activities in the garment sector."

Recycled yarn prices in Panipat remained stable despite weak demand. The market expressed concern over additional production capacity expected within the next year. A trader revealed that approximately 20 new mills, producing recycled PC yarn, are set to open. The market is already grappling with diminished demand due to existing high production capacity and lacklustre interest from both domestic and global markets. Recycled yarn traded flat amid this weak demand.

Other varieties and counts were noted as 10s recycled PC yarn (Black) at ₹50-54 per kg, 20s recycled PC yarn (Grey) at ₹92-97 per kg and 30s recycled PC yarn (Grey) at ₹135-145 per kg. State-wise, Haryana contributed 5,000 bales, Punjab 2,000, upper Rajasthan 1,000, and lower Rajasthan 2,000 bales. Prices for new cotton fell by ₹100, ranging from ₹6,270 to ₹6,290 per maund of 37.2 kg across all states in north India.
