When street culture was overlooked by the industry, Agenda was created out of necessity. With a collective of authentic labels, Agenda established itself as the leading streetwear tradeshow. Streetwear became the driving force in the marketplace as the internet and social media transformed a niche lifestyle into a global phenomenon. Unfortunately, the information age has allowed the mainstream to infiltrate and high fashion to appropriate the culture. Brand legitimacy has become blurred in the era of social media. While we can’t put the genie back in the bottle, we can choose to go back to basics. It starts from within the Agenda crew but it’s really not about us. It’s about the creators connecting with the retailers. It’s about facilitating the process of getting concepts to the closet. That starts with creating connections. Now more than ever, curation does matter.
