Colony Group is one of the leading and oldest Textile Manufacturing group in Pakistan. The 1st industrial venture of the group was in cotton ginning sector back in 1881. First textile spinning plant was put up in 1946 under the name of Colony Textile Mills Limited. The Group further ventured in to Banking, Insurance, Cement, and Power Generation & Distribution. By 1952 Colony Textile Mills Limited was a composite textile plant with a 120,000 Spindles, 1,500 looms, and fabric finishing capacity in excess of 150,000 meters per day. Presently, there are two companies in the group, namely, Colony Textile Mills Limited (CTM) with about 195,000 Spindles, and Colony Industries (Pvt.) Limited (CIL), Consisting of 35,000 Spindles and 274 Air Jet Looms. CIL is under going a major expansion program. We have a total of 418 AirJet Looms in Following widths: 1) 190 cm 180 Looms 176 Cam + 12 Dobby + 12 Crank (20 Looms with Batchers) 2) 210 cm 24 Looms 24 Cam Looms (4 Looms with Batchers) 3) 280 cm 26 Looms 20 Cam + 6 Dobby 4) 340 cm 188 Looms 174 Cam + 14 Dobby This facility is equipped with state-of the-art machinery both in the back process as well as the fabric production. Both, the spinning as well as the weaving facilities of CIL have in house power generation in order to provide uninterrupted energy to the production facilities 24 hours, 365 days in a year. Our spinning strength lies in yarn counts of Ne7 to Ne50 both single and double. For using yarn counts higher than Ne40, we have partnered with the top manufacturers in Pakistan to source reliable quality in a timely and efficient manor. We cater to the Apparel Sector on one end and the Home Textiles on the other. Currently, we are producing twills, drills, sateen, rip stop and herring bone for apparels and T-200 to T-500, Canvases, Half Panama for the home textiles, with capability to weave a greater variety of fabrics, including but not limited to the stretches, bi-stretches, reverse satins, etc.
