We are looking forward to expand our distribution network.
Industrie Tessili Bresciane (ITB) has served numerous industries and thousands of customers worldwide with a comprehensive range of textile products. The company, founded in 1919, manufactures and markets technical fabrics, needle felt and conveyors. ITB sales manager Pietro Turrin talks about selling products across all segments in the textiles industry and showcasing upgraded products at the week-long ITMA Barcelona beginning June 20.

What technologies is your company into?

We manufacture endless and seamless felt belts for finishing machines. Our latest belts last longer and offer faster and better finishing time. We offer around 10-15 felts for various applications.

How important are the Chinese and Southeast Asian markets for your company?

We were partially present in the Chinese market till now and selling just one type of finishing-that too for just weaving. We have just appointed a new distributor and are taking part in this exhibition for the first time with the new distributor. We hope that our products will be sold across all segments.

We are nearing the end of 2018. How has this year fared for you so far?

This year has to be divided into two parts. The first six months were booming and we did well. Since July, we have seen a slowdown across several countries. We did do good business in the third quarter, but not like the first two.

To how many countries do you export?

We export to around 70 countries all over the world.

What are your plans for 2019?

We will mainly focus on the Chinese market and a few Asian countries, where we have appointed new distributors.

Are you taking part at ITMA Barcelona?

We will participate and launch few upgraded products at the exhibition. (RR)
