Archroma supports the industry’s leading environmental and consumer safety standards: bluesign, OekoTex, GOTS, etc.
Archroma is an active member of the most engaged organizations dedicated to promoting sustainable solutions in the textile industry, such as the Textile Exchange and the Sustainable Apparel Coalition. We support their initiatives through active participation, expert presentations and lobbying at events and activities.
And of course we are aiming for the highest standards across our own production and processes.
- We received already in October 2013, shortly after Archroma came to life*, the Global IQNet and SQS certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series).
First sustainable effluent treatment (SET) facility
Archroma opened in December 2013 our first sustainable effluent treatment (SET) facility for a textile operational site, in Jamshoro, Pakistan. With an investment of 371 million PKR the facility not only supports the substantial recovery of 80 percent of water but also allows effluent treatment based on zero liquid discharge fulfilling Pakistan’s very stringent National Environmental Quality Standards (NEQS) requirements.
- In March 2014, Archroma was one of the companies to be distinguished by a Corporate Water Stewardship Award at the Global Water Summit 2014 organized by the high profile Global Water Intelligence organization.
